Mary Beth and Brian May 24 2008

Mary Beth and Brian chose St Vincent in Greensburg for their ceremony and Banquets Unlimited for the reception. They could not have had better weather.

We had alot of time to take pictures after the ceremony and I loved the old buildings there with great contrast and color. That with the beautiful sky made for some fun shots. Brian and Mary Beth where great hosts and made sure I had as much fun as they did.

They are Honeymooning in south Florida, and I hope they call since we are back in Florida also and they showed alot of interest in going sailing.

Don't

Thanks Mary Beth and Brian!

Look out Mario Andretti, here comes Tony Araujo!

As many of you know, there is a very tight group of photographers in Pittsburgh who are not only competitors in business, but best friends and teachers. One couple that is very close to Marty and I is Cyndi and Tony Araujo, great photographers and great friends.

Tony and Cyndi's Father Rick decided to Ride their motorcycles to Beaverrun race track to try out the Mazda experience. I went to take pictures and to see how things are. I taught Rally driving there a couple times and it was nice to see that all the same people where still there after a couple years.

I was a little worried how good it would be because of the very reasonable price. They got a great deal, the instructors where thorough, polite, fun and very supportive and patient, which is very hard to do when rookies are driving in your very expensive equipment.

They received some classroom instruction then they immediately when out and took laps with an instructor in Mazda 6s which everyone was impressed with. Then they got into Mazda Miata cup cars and made a few laps. Then to top off the whole day, they drove the 240hp 180 mph Mazda formula cars!!

Tony and Rick where both very impressive from what I saw and they had a blast.

Leslie and Andrew's Wedding May 17 2008

One of the interesting things about Leslie and Andrew is that they live near me in Florida but the wedding was in Pittsburgh!

We did the engagement portraits in Florida and I knew they where going to be great fun. The wedding was at St Paul in Oakland and the reception was at Carnegie Music Hall.

Everyone got ready at the Omni in town. Fortunately we started early, and we where able to get some fun pics in the Strip District. It was a great looking group and they couldn't get enough pictures.

As usual the very polite staff at St Paul was there to show us the door when the wedding was over. I am being sarcastic here, and I am at a loss why some wedding officials could be so rude on someones daughter's most important day.

On the other hand, the staff at the Carnegie where great and polite! It was a very high energy reception. Check out the little girl who was playing in the light on the steps.

Thanks Leslie and Andrew!

Life on Water; Crandon Park, Fl

I took a walk the other day, I had to get some exercise after 2 days not leaving the boat working on albums.

Well, I got lost, lost the trail, and I had to walk in shallow water for about a mile. I knew it would lead to the bridge at Bear Cut between Virginia Key and Key Biscayne, but I didn't know if I could walk all the way around the mangroves without some kind of obstruction or deep water. I was lucky and it was one of the most enjoyable walks I have ever done. It was very secluded, though I must admit that I ruined things for a couple who thought it was secluded also!

I decided to go back the next day in the dingy to get some great shots of the mangroves, (no, not to take pics of couples in the nude). I was rewarded with a few dozen stingrays of all types and I tried and tried to get a picture of them with a mangrove tree to no avail. So when I got back to the boat I decided to do it in Photoshop. I like it, I hope you do.
Next stop, Pittsburgh for a couple weeks and a couple weddings.

May 10, Stacey and Nick's Wedding

Stacey and Nick decided to have their wedding on the Grand Floridian in Hollywood. Of course you know how much I like a boat ride, but to add photography into it with some great people and it is my idea of a night out.

The boat stopped just south of the Hollywood bridge for the ceremony. It was a little hot out, but it was beautiful.

Many of the guests where from New York and I heard alot of comments on the big houses in Ft Lauderdale, always impressive.

The reception was great fun!

Stacey and Nick are off to Italy for honeymoon. Have fun and take alot of pictures!

Life on Water: Sailing to Elliot Key

I did my first "Single Handed" sail this weekend on Carpe Vita. It was a real confidence builder.

I sailed with Diane and Mike on Express Mail down to Elliot Key which is just north of Key Largo. We anchored just a little south of where all the party people go on weekends. It was very quiet and the water was crystal clear.

The winds where perfect both ways and was typically sailing at about 6 -8 knots.

I intended to stay a day or two and just work on albums and business, but there was almost no coverage for my Sprint Broadband and made work very slow. So We came back the next day.

Above is a picture of Diane and Mike on Express Mail going south.

Latest albums

I received great news two days ago, the LDG (Landau Design Group) albums are now in production and should be on the market in 5-6 weeks. Can't wait! Thanks Kambara!

I have been working late as usual on a couple albums, and I love them all. It has been hard work keeping up, but very rewarding nonetheless.

The albums above are; Amy and Darren from Australia, Wendy and Jeff from the Florida Keys and Taryn and Gareth in Pittsburgh. These albums have been a pleasure as where the weddings.

Thanks all of you!
