It was great to have Marty back in Fla for a few days, and one of the highlights was shooting Amanda and Roy's wedding at Sundy House in Delray Beach. Of course the biggest highlight was our own anniversary on the 5th. Even though Marty missed it by 10 minutes when her plane was 2 hours late. We celebrated through the rest of the weekend.
Amanda and Roy are art directors and graphic artists and I felt honored to shoot their wedding. They are as cute as they get and easy to photograph. Light and time was an issue, so they desided to see each other so they can do some photos before it got dark.
It was paradise in every sense of the word. Not only where they fun to shoot, the Sundy house was a real paradise! (http://www.sundyhouse.com/) Even though it is in downtown Delray Beach, it felt like we where on a tropical island with water falls, every kind of flower and even some bamboo. We got some great shots, even the ceremony was held next to the pool which gave us great reflections. The service and friendly staff, especially Dustin, gives us incentive to go there just for dinner and drinks sometime.
Amanda did much of the decorating and it was amazing. The colors, flowers and art work meshed perfectly. A great setting for a reception that was comfortable and friendly. The music was provided by Mariana Martin who came from Miami and gave the guests great entertainment with her Brazilian Jazz type music. Love it. Her site is http://www.marianamarting.com/.
A great wedding by all standards!
